Proofreading is the last step
As the final step before publication, proofreading ensures that you haven’t missed any spelling errors or forgotten to apply your decided style. It is the least transformative stage of editing; I’ll only be checking for errors with minimal rewording. This is much faster if you already have a style sheet from the copy editing stage, but I can make one for you too.
This is the fastest stage of editing and gives you the peace of mind that you’ve applied all the edits you worked so hard on.
